COVID-19 Update: Our new "normal" and getting through this together

To the KOY Gear Community,

We would like to thank you for all of your kindness, support, and, in some cases, your patience as we navigate this unforeseen situation. We wanted to take the opportunity to provide you with some updates about our products and company during this time. The pandemic has forced the world to make significant sacrifices and words don’t do justice to the incredible work of those hustling to get us back to “everyday” life. While we have been fortunate to remain operational, we've encountered some road bumps along the way. 

Following the success of our second Kickstarter campaign for our new t-shirts and socks, the impact of COVID-19 intensified. The second half of our shipment was en-route to our Toronto warehouse when it came to a halt in Vancouver where it was held for 6 weeks without an explanation. (We suspect it was due to a combination of new safety precautions, reduced manpower at customs, and therefore more essential goods receiving prioritization). Luckily, our shipment was eventually released and has arrived safely at our Toronto warehouse which has allowed us to fulfill our remaining pre-orders. Additionally, we are excited to share that we have a fresh stock now available for purchase, which means that any future orders will be quickly (and safely) fulfilled. 

We know our loved ones’ safety is what's most important right now and the last thing on many of your minds is clothing. Although travel and adventure seem to be at a standstill for the foreseeable future, the spirit of exploration is still alive and well. We’ve always pursued our goal of taking people further, but it's time we recognize and thank those who have taken us this far. As a small clothing retailer, we are limited in what we can do, but we wanted to do all that we can to help keep that spirit alive. While our contribution may be relatively small, we are offering a discount to those who need it. Humanity is incredibly resilient and we are even more resilient when we come together. The day will once again come where we can freely share and explore this beautiful world with one another, and finally scratch that insatiable itch to explore that we’ve all been having. In the meantime, we hope you all stay safe, hold your loved ones close, and look out for each other. There is always more to come.
